Policies & Procedures

Billing Procedures:
The registration fee for Lower School Extended Day is $15.00. Upon registering, you will be required to pay the fee upon registering. Following that first registration fee, you will then be billed monthly for each day that your child utilizes the Extended Day Program through your Augusta Prep account. The Extended Day Assistants and Director keep track of attendance using a log book. The State of Georgia requires that you sign your student(s) out upon pick-up, printing your name and noting the time in aforementioned logbook. Failure to do so may result in billing in errors. Please be mindful of this requirement.

Child Care Tax Credit:
The Augusta Preparatory Day School is happy to provide a Child Care Tax Deduction letter for Extended Day Services upon request. These letters are mailed at the end of January. If you would like to receive a Tax Deduction letter, please contact Laura Fuller, Director of Student Billing at in January.

A late fee will be charged for children picked up after 6:00 pm.
The late fee will amount to $1.00 per minute with no less than a $5.00 minimum.

Checking into Extended day after Enrichment or Conservatory
$5 per day for the first 30 minutes up to 1 hour. Any hours after that will be charged the regular rate of $15 per day.

Behavior Management
The lower school extended day program will follow the Discipline rules outlined the Lower School Handbook.  The system provides the students with clear, concrete and immediate feedback..  Various rewards and privileges can be achieved by success on the behavior management plan.  The goal is to help the students internalize new skills and behaviors.

Homework Hour
Homework Hour is held Monday-Thursday for one hour past their regular dismissal time for 1st through 8th grades. Students work independently and may also get assistance when needed. If you do not wish for your child to do their homework while in extended day, they should have a quiet book or activity to do during the hour.

Snack Time
Augusta Prep extended day does provide a nutritious snack each day after school. While we try our best to stock items that are best for our students, we realize certain students have special request and needs when it comes to food. If your child is a picky/heavy eater or has severe allergies outside of nut allergies, please send a snack that is appropriate for their needs.
