Augusta Prep welcomes two Heritage Academy scholarship students for the 2024-25 school year

Augusta Preparatory Day School is proud to welcome two Heritage Academy students, Sylas and Jacob, for the 2024-25 school year. The two incoming freshmen, who have each earned merit-based scholarships, will start their Prep careers in August as members of the Class of 2028.
Sylas becomes the fourth Giles Scholarship recipient from Heritage Academy to attend Augusta Prep. He will receive a full-tuition, merit-based scholarship which is awarded annually to incoming freshmen from Heritage Academy and will cover the cost of the students’ high school education.

The partnership between Heritage Academy and Augusta Prep was made possible by a generous gift from the estate of the late, local philanthropist and businessman, W. Rodger Giles, who was passionate about the betterment of children and childhood education. In 2021, Elijah McFadgen (Class of '25) became the first Heritage Academy student to become a recipient of the scholarship.

Jacob has earned a Malone Scholarship, which is offered to new Augusta Prep students in the top five percent of their class who demonstrate academic achievement, exemplary citizenship, and leadership potential. The scholarship is for U.S. citizens in grades 7-10. The scholarship can cover up to 100 percent of the cost of tuition and most fees and is renewable through 12th grade. Augusta Prep is the only school in Georgia designated as a Malone School.

Augusta Prep is ranked as the Augusta area's No. 1 as the Best Private K-12 School and No. 1 College Prep school by Niche.com.
